Here I'm going to display a little of my flair for tidbits, but totally about tiles on this page. I've taken it upon myself to learn more about tiles especially since my last tiling disaster which had me counting how many I was going to put on my bathroom wall. Here is another one of my quirks I can remember exactly that it was 276 tiles. I had 24 left over which my partner turned into a mosaic. Quite cool really.

There are over 1 million tiles sold on a working day in England alone. Including Europe into the equation and it becomes even more astronomical. The last stats I could get hold of showed it to be around 23 million tiles sold per day. Factor this into America in your average Manhattan executive suite and it just becomes immeasurable! The second tidbit is the most popular order this year for tiles is in fact beige tiles, it seems that people like the neutral colours that these tiles have. The most popular tiles back in the 1980's were definitely snow white. I remember it well, no matter where you went trying to get anything a little different from white was a struggle. The last tidbit is tiles can be recycled depending on there material, so they are now being pushed as a greener alternative to some faux-flooring measures such as laminate flooring.
