Like most men in there mid-thirties who have some matter of disposable income, I've become quite crazy of cars. I can't help it, I like their form and factor and the smell of a new one. To help facilitate this obsession, I always know a thing or two about the industry and the cars themselves.

The first tidbit is average tyre lasts for around 6 months, though there are a number of factors affecting this. Wet conditions and aggressive driving will quickly shorten down that life. In Sweden, given that it can snow heavily and be wet, plus the factor of more darkness make that tyre's life significantly lower. A tyre that might last 6 months in UK will last for 3 months in Sweden. Crazy eh? The second tidbit is that car leasing is increasing as we exit the recession. People are now more likely to take a commitment with new car leasing than ten years ago. It enables people to stay fresh with their choice of car rather than taking out a long finance agreement for a car that loses value as soon as it is driven off the forecourt. The most popular colour for new cars is now Silver. Back in the 1970's it was black, it shows you how fashion changes. Silver cars are now seen as very neutral and less flashy, in fact when asked management professionals would prefer to be seen in a silver car than a red one.
